Barry Bailey

Executive Director

Barry is a graduate of Madison University with a Masters in Chemical Dependency Counseling. Barry has worked in the Behavioral Health industry for over 35 years and specializes in Adolescent and Family Issues, as well as Juvenile Justice System involved youth. Barry joined Genesis in 1987 and has worked as a Student Assistance Counselor, and he has provided direct service, as well as coordinated all Adolescent Substance Abuse Programs. Barry designed the Comprehensive Adjustment Program (CAP), a Re-entry Day Reporting Program for Juvenile Justice Commission youth being paroled back to their respective communities from Juvenile Prison. This program was established in 2000 and was later adopted as the state day reporting model.

Barry has been responsible for the development and implementation of Genesis' Early Intervention Program (EIP). The EIP program works with Adolescents and Families being referred from a variety of sources and provides family stabilization and prevention services for both parents and adolescents. Schools, Child Protective Services and individual families are this program's primary referral source. Barry facilitates the EIP group sessions, and meets with families participating in the process, and also trains the clinical staff on the unique approach required to ensure the success of the program.

Barry has worked to expand services in southern New Jersey and helped develop the many services offered in the city of Camden, where he has worked for many years. He has provided consulting services to other community treatment providers, which demonstrates his willingness to collaborate to work in the best interest of individuals in need of care.

Barry continues to be intimately involved with the agency's fund raising and public relation efforts, and he works to maximize agency productivity through his management of the entire agency's day-to-day operations which is his primary responsibility as Executive Director.

Ivelissa Polanco

Vice President of Clinical Operations

Ivelissa graduated from Capella University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. She has 15 years of experience working as a paraprofessional, in-home behavioral assistant, case manager, and has worked within the New Jersey Children’s Systems of Care. Despite the adversities of the Covid-19 pandemic, she found a placement opportunity at Genesis Counseling Centers for full-time internship. Shortly after graduating she found herself on the administrative team as a Mental Health Program Manager.

Her commitment to the agency and the individuals Genesis services would not go unnoticed. In a short period of time her energy and ability earned her current position of Vice President of Clinical Operations.

From the beginning of her career path, Ivelissa has always found herself passionate about serving others. It is evident through her dedication to sound Behavioral Health services.  Her approach is closely aligned with her ability to connect well with others and her desire to be a part of the change and growth that so many individuals need within our very own communities. She remains dedicated to her personal and professional mission of improving the lives of others.

Andrea Grauber

Vice President of Support Services

Andrea has 12 years of management experience including but not limited to medical billing in multiple industries. During her time there she was responsible for all outgoing claims, processing of all insurance and client payments, as well as reconciliation of outstanding invoices and the full management of the department.

Through her hard work and dedication while at Genesis Andrea has now been promoted to the position of Vice President of Support Services, which allows her to oversee all daily support operations,  including the front desk staff, Integrated Technology, and the billing department.

Upon her arrival at Genesis her expertise had an immediate impact. She was able to in short order resolve and collect approximately a half-million dollars in uncollected revenue.  While Andrea did not come from a Behavioral Health background, she has been able to transition into the Genesis Business Model seamlessly. Her global knowledge of billing, third-party insurance, and front office management is invaluable.
